In a shocking turn of events, I finished my daughter’s stocking WAY more quickly than I anticipated. I really loved the colors I swapped with and how it came together; bit by bit. It’s currently in the loving hands of the finishing team at The Needlepoint Clubhouse! I have a post coming all about it, stay tuned!
Moving on, I fell in love with this Anne Fisher frame the minute I saw it at Greenhouse Needlepoint. It’s been so much fun to stitch and I’m using Milan (Mango, Pucker Up, Electric, Sleet & White) which has been a B R E E Z E. It feels nice to do no color swaps, no compensation, no fancy stitches; just fun basketweave in summery colors. This has made it’s triumphant rise to the top as my on-the-go project because it’s a good size & shape to cart around to all of my various stops throughout the week!
At home, I’ve also started working on my oldest’s stocking which is called Ski Village by Alice Peterson. There are some parts that are a little dicey to stitch at night because is the color white? is it the ice? welp, we’ll never know! Since beginning, I’ve mostly been tackling the white/mountains while watching “Younger” but I’m REALLY excited to get to the ski huts because they’re SO colorful and fun. I also can’t WAIT to add red fyre works for the gondolas! In theory, the two of the three stockings I chose are very different from one another, my plan to keep them cohesive is to use a few of the same colors on all three stockings and use the same scripted font to tie them together!
Stayy tuned!
Ps. yes, my bunny frame and I love you to the moon & stars are still in purgatory.

I am slowly but surely stitching through a few projects. I feel like I have been stitching in slow motion lately, but plugging along when I can! Ready for these 2 projects to be finished so I can move onto something else!! But anywaaaays….
We went to Florida last week for a wedding and since my Bunny Heart was a bit too big to travel with, I started working on Miles’ teacher end of year gift! I love these customized Frances Abel pencils. I stitched the first one for him to photograph on the first/last day of school and knew it would be a fun gift to commemorate his amazing teachers during his first year of school!
I’m also still plugging away at my Spruce Street Studio Love Bunny which will be the perfect addition to my daughter’s room! Once this is done, I’ll be sending it to Saville Needleworks for finishing, they do a mean heart pillow finish! I am LOVING this project because the little icons allow me to stitch through big chunks and really feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day. I NEED to finish the pencil, and HOPE I finish this pillow before baby girl arrives next month. Peep our cutie NDLPT mini-minders on this canvas. Restock coming soon!!
What are you all stitching!?
I’m finishing up this poodle I’m going to frame for my daughter’s room. And then I have a couple random stitches on this little dog I need to have finished into a door hanger/ornament I think. Then I’ll start some subclass cases for my mom!
